Art Deco Aubusson rug by Paulette Née

High-end rug, handcrafted. Created by the painter paulette née at aubusson. She began her rug collection by transforming some of her paintings into handmade rugs. She immediately moved towards high-end manufacturing, which remains an important principle today. My rugs are made in nepal by a small group of companies in the center of kathmandu. Over time, she specialized in traditional, high-end hand-knotted rugs: hand-knotted rugs are the finest. They are woven in an entirely artisanal way. They are very dense in wool (90, 000 knots per m², with at least 3 strands of wool per knot), which makes them very durable. Signed in the weft. Dimensions: 200x140 cm condition: good condition, a gray wool line on one small side of the rug. The carpet is not on a white background but on a cream background as in the last 3 photos.
