Superb double-necked ultramarine vase in enamelled flamed sandstone, typical of the art deco era. It was signed by the ceramicist alphonse "cytère", made in france in the 1920s and 1930s. Ceramics of blue and blue/green iridescent which has very beautiful effects of mother-of-pearl in places. It is in perfect condition, and is signed with an encrusted figure as you can see in the photo. Attached to you is a small biography of the ceramicist who performed this piece: Alphonse cytère, born in tauves (puy-de-dôme) in 1851 and died in rambervillers (vosges) in 1941, is a french ceramic engineer linked to the school of nancy. He has developed a new technique for transforming a metal-reflected enamel that has earned their notoriety to the "flamed sandstones of rambervillers".
