Pair of three-light candlesticks in solid wrought iron, crafted using traditional hot forging techniques. Each piece rests on a crossed four-legged base, ensuring excellent stability despite the significant height of the set. The elongated and deliberately irregular shafts, along with the hammered cups, reflect a manual shaping typical of French artisanal productions from the early 1970s. Incised signature under the base: "M.H 72", likely indicating the artisan's initial and the year of manufacture. The narrow depth format allows for easy placement on a console, a fireplace, or an architectural ledge. ________________________________________ Technical details. • Designer: Artisan identified by the initials M.H • Manufacturer: Artisan workshop, France. • Period: 1972. • Materials: Solid wrought iron. • Finish: Original raw patina, stabilised oxidation. ________________________________________ Dimensions. • Height: 39 cm (15.35 in) • Width: 24 cm (9.45 in) • Diameter of cups: 7 cm (2.76 in) • Depth: 12 cm (4.72 in) • Weight: 3 kg. ________________________________________ Condition.
