Beautiful vintage wall-mounted salt pot from Royal Copenhagen / Aluminia, part of the famous Tenera collection, designed by Norwegian artist Beth Breyen in the 1960s. This model, referenced 132/261, features the famous "Crazy Bird" decoration, depicting a stylised bird seen from the front, with its wings widely spread. The decoration is entirely hand-painted in subtle shades of deep blue, blue-black, burgundy, red, and a few touches of pastel green, against a grey-blue / sky blue background. The piece is complemented by its original wooden lid and its two original side screws, allowing for wall mounting. A beautiful example of modern Scandinavian design from the 1960s, both decorative and functional, particularly sought after by enthusiasts of Tenera ceramics and vintage Danish design.
