Service cutlery by the artist and sculptor Miguel Ortiz Berrocal (1933 - 2006). Salad servers, fork and knife, slotted spoon in silver-plated metal, sumptuous handles, reminiscent of his torso sculptures. Model: Casse-Tête. Very good overall condition, one salad server has pitting on the spatula (see photo), otherwise impeccable, solid and heavy. These cutlery pieces are not signed except for a mark on the knife blade as the box was (no box). Length between 26 and 29 cm. Born on 28 September 1933 in Málaga, Spain, Miguel Ortiz Berrocal spent much of his life in Verona, Italy, where he discovered a small foundry that allowed him to cast his modular and complex sculptures. His work has been exhibited throughout Europe, North and South America, and Japan. He passed away on 31 May 2006 in Málaga.
