The Pumpkin sofa by Pierre Paulin was created in 1971. This seat was designed for the private quarters of Claude and Georges Pompidou at the Elysée Palace. Its design follows the guideline taken by the French designer with these soft and organic curves. For this model, he was inspired by the pumpkin, the shape of which he used to provide a warm and protective seat. This model is still produced by Ligne Roset which offers several variations of this model (fireside chair, 3-seater sofa or ottoman). Its structure is composed of an assembly of foam on one, the base and the belt are in polyether foam while the seat and back are made of molded polyurethane foam reinforced by a plate of the same foam. A fabric or leather cover is then placed on the surface. Post 2000 edition. In very good condition, completely reupholstered in our workshop.
