Porcelain teapot, dachshund, Germany, 1938-45

Charming teapot or coffee pot in the shape of a dog, a dachshund, from 1938-42 in Germany. A magnificent ceramic object, this special shape is adorned with a popular dachshund motif. The colours are also very detailed, ranging from light brown to black. The dog also has a collar around its neck, where the pot opens. There is a small chip on the head and at the base (see photos). On the base, a model number is visible and it is marked "GERMANY". Approximate dimensions: height 21 cm, width 9.5 cm, depth 19 cm.
