Mid-century Italian space age ceiling lamp by Gianemilio, Pietro and Anna Monti for Kartell, 1950s.

Very rare ceiling or wall lights from Kartell designed by Gianemilio, Pietro, and Anna Monti from the late 1950s. A functional design. The body of the light is made of metal painted white. A perforation all around the base serves to dissipate heat while diffusing a soft light into the room. The front is closed with a white methacrylate diffuser secured by three small knurled brass screws. The lights are in very good condition with signs of wear and patina.
