Vintage VEB Leuchtenbau Lengefeld Bauhaus lamp. 1960's German BauHaus table lamp.

Beautiful german lamp. Made in the early 60's and in truely remarkable condition. This bauhaus style lamp is a lust for the eye and a contribution to every interior. From livingroom to bedroom to office to shop to restaurant to bar. It makes the room! The big 'button' in the middle is the switch as you can see on the pictures. Brilliant detail. Veb leuchtenbau. The veb leuchtenbau narva lengefeld company was founded in 1900 as wittig und schwabe metalldruckwarenfabriken (metal printing factories), lengefeld. Right after world war II in 1946, the name changed into veb leuchtenbau, as every light company in the gdr did. In 1963 they manufactured some 1.5 million lamps, of which 80% were exported. In 1965 they produced 120 different models of lights.
