This charming lamp in glazed pyrite stoneware was perhaps originally a candlestick later mounted as a lamp. It is a beautiful handcrafted work of throwing. The clay used, Puisaye stoneware, reminds me of the creations of Jean-Pierre Prud'homme in the 70s, but this one is not signed. The base is very heavy, you can put the lampshade of your choice on it, even if, personally, I would change the socket for a pretty bronze-colored metal socket for example, and would not put a lampshade to highlight the stoneware base. I tested it, it works, the socket is designed for a bayonet bulb. The lamp base is in perfect condition, no cracks, no chips, not even a chip, the only sign that testifies to the age of this lamp is wear on the screw thread on the socket, but this does not prevent the ring that allows you to hold a lampshade to be screwed on. The base measures 16 cm in height and 22 cm in height with the patinated gold metal part and the white plastic socket, 13 cm in maximum diameter (at the cup).
