Description: Superb and large rectangular serving tray with handles in silver plate from the famous English house Viners of Sheffield. A high-quality piece of British silverware, as evidenced by its official "Alpha Plate" hallmark topped with a crown, guaranteeing a thick and durable silver plating. The bottom of the tray features a beautiful chased central decoration with scrolls, scrollwork, and flowers in Rococo/Chippendale style. The scalloped edges and handles are richly adorned with floral and shell motifs. Very well made, heavy and stable in hand, ideal for elegant serving, a wedding, or to enhance a bar or sideboard. Condition: Very good overall condition. No loss of silver, no deformation. It shows its original patina with slight usage oxidation that can easily be removed with a simple polish (such as Mirror or a special silverware product) to restore its mirror shine.
