Good condition. No chips or cracks. Light wear to the glazed edges on both necks and signs of patina — authentic marks of life that testify to the age of the piece and contribute to its beauty. An immediately recognisable silhouette: two flared necks emerge from a single S-shaped body, like two cups reaching out to each other. This so-called "double vase" or "wedding vase" is one of the most sought after by collectors of Mid-Century German ceramics. The flowing glaze features a deep chocolate brown streaked with cream and straw yellow washes, with black filaments in the hollows of the drips. The interior of both necks is glazed in a warm, lustrous gold. A decorative piece with strong character, perfect on a sideboard or in a vintage composition. Bay Keramik is one of the iconic manufacturers of post-war German ceramics, founded in 1934 in Ransbach-Baumbach. Active intensively from the 1950s to the 1970s, it produced a wide variety of vases with organic shapes and expressive glazes, many of which were exported throughout Europe. Its pieces are increasingly collected today for their quality and distinctive Mid-Century aesthetic. Type: Double trilobed neck vase (double wedding vase) Material: Glazed ceramic. Decoration: Drip glaze in chocolate brown, cream-straw yellow, black filaments — interior of the necks in shiny gold. Era: 1950s–1960s. Dimensions: H. Approximately 17 cm.
