Pair of vintage armchairs renovated with natural materials

Pair of vintage armchairs renovated by me in a traditional way with vegetable horsehair and seeds (no moss or staple). The nosag type springs have been preserved (because in good condition) but stilted in order to maintain their position over time. The wooden structure was dismantled, glued, sanded and waxed with colorless wax. The base is made of solid light wood. Since they are antique armchairs, the wood of the feet and armrests has traces of life (a few discreet shots and 2 insect holes on the bottom). I made the choice to leave these "defects" apparent because they are for me part of the history of furniture. The fabrics used are a 100% linen from thévenon (solid blue) and a 100% cotton print also from thévenon (ginkgo leaves). I also used the cotton printed fabric to make the piping that brightens up the front of the seat. The fabrics of the backrest are assembled in hidden seam by hand.
