Superb decorative glazed ceramic dish, made in the Italian workshops of San Marino in the 1960s and 1970s. A nod to enthusiasts: often mistaken for Vallauris, but here we are truly in Italy, with all the refinement of the San Marino workshops, famous for their bubbled glazes and hand-painted relief decorations. Against a gray-black bubbled glaze background, the artisans modeled and painted a refined marine motif: a large stylized fish, a crustacean, and turquoise seaweed, worked in relief and highlighted with bold colors. Every detail testifies to the care taken by the Italian workshops of this era, which successfully combined traditional craftsmanship with the modernity of textured glazes. The result: a piece that is both vibrant and decorative, emblematic of mid-century Mediterranean design. Diameter 20 cm (8 inches) excluding the handle, height 8 cm (3 inches). Beautiful vintage condition, with a glossy surface. The underside is patinated by use, and there is also very slight wear on the inside. The handle has been carefully restored and is barely visible (see photos). With its bright colors and intricate decoration, this dish will bring a chic, Mediterranean vintage touch to any kitchen.
