Solid piano stool - Germany, early 20th century

Swivel piano stool in solid walnut with genuine leather seat. Stained black and ebonized, it features three turned legs and a large central column supporting the mechanism. The columns are joined at the top by a round wooden plate and at the bottom by a triangular plate slightly curved inward. Of sturdy construction, this stool is quite heavy (6, 650 g). Its height is adjustable from about 44 to 58 cm. The mechanism turns smoothly but has a slight play. This stool probably dates from the early 20th century. It is in good working condition, despite some visible surface wear. Height 44 - 58 cm. Seat diameter 35.5 cm. Weight 6, 650 g.
