Post Modern Saddle Leather and Steel Lounge Chair 1980s

Lounge chair from the 1980s, with a black lacquered steel frame and thick saddle leather seat and backrest. The design is defined by the clear contrast between the industrial structure and the leather, resulting in a piece with a strong yet balanced presence. The steel frame provides a clear architectural outline, while the saddle leather is tensioned to form the seating surfaces, emphasizing construction and material. The chair reflects the post-modern interest in structure, function, and material. Seating height 33cm. We acquired the chair from the first owner who bought it at H.H. Klerk in Rotterdam. Klerk was a well known luxury furniture warehouse from the 1950s until the late 1980s. Remains in perfect original condition.
