Beautiful armchair with salt chest, all in solid wood, oak and chestnut, fully pegged. The backrest is carved with a diamond. The solid wood armrests are pegged. The seat hides a chest. Under 2 removable boards, diamond decorations, louis XIII style. Formerly this kind of armchairs called "throne of the ancestor" or "cantou" were placed inside the fireplace in order to dry the salt hidden in the chest.
