Crystal carafe for cold drinks with a brass mount, an example of European craftsmanship from the mid-20th century, made in Germany in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The body is made of thick transparent crystal glass, richly decorated with manual cutting and engraving, featuring geometric rosettes, stylised grape clusters, and floral patterns. The contrast between the polished and satin surfaces adds expressiveness to the whole. The upper part, including the hinged lid, spout, and large ergonomic handle, is made of shiny gold-plated brass. The carafe is equipped with an original glass insert for ice, allowing drinks to be chilled without dilution. The silhouette is harmoniously rounded – the wide base gently tapers upwards. Condition: good vintage, with natural signs of use and a slight patina on the brass, typical of authentic items from this era. The size of the carafe is approximately 2 litres, height 28.5 cm, width (with handle) 23 cm. Materials: hand-cut and engraved crystal, brass. It is recommended to wash gently by hand, especially the brass elements, to preserve their character and shine.
