Rare Scorpion Coat Rack Mirror by Anonima Design for Bonetto

This rare Scorpion coat rack mirror, designed by Anonima Design and produced by Bonetto in the 1970s, is an iconic example of the Radical Design movement in Italy. The coat rack consists of tall vertical panels, finished in a warm reddish-brown lacquer that adds depth and elegance to the sleek geometry. Behind the hinged wooden elements lies a mirrored panel, which appears when the doors are opened, revealing the hidden coat hooks. This makes the coat rack not only a functional piece of furniture but also a surprising design object. The piece was designed by the design group Anonima Design – Sergio Pareti, Ezio Luzi, Federico Prandi, Viviana Riccato and Mario Virano – who are known for their playful and innovative approach. The coat rack is in good vintage condition, with only minor damage to the bottom corner of the mirror.
