Mid-century side table by Lorenzo Burchiellaro in aluminium with glass shelves

A rare mid-century cube form textured aluminium bar trolley, designed by Lorenzo Burchiellaro. Cast aluminium, with a brushed texture adding depth and interest to the item, with two glass shelves with curved edges which sit on four aluminium supports and is set on four casters. Made in Italy, circa 1970s. Stamped 'Burchiellaro'. A stunning item. Lorenzo Burchiellaro (1933-) is an Italian designer and sculptor. A highly skilled metalworker, Burchiellaro is known for his artistic use of metals and the creation of decorative objects and furniture. His work takes on simple forms with highly textured surfaces. There are a few blemishes to the metal surface in places. The two glass tiers are new replacements in 6mm tempered glass, these sit between fittings.
