Antique basket, fruit basket or bread basket made of wicker

A pretty, antique wicker basket, beautifully woven, likely originally a fruit bowl, it can also hold bread on a table or serve as a catch-all in an entryway. It adds a lovely natural or rustic chic touch to any room in the house. It probably dates from the mid-20th century. It is in good structural condition, still sturdy, but shows signs of age and wear that bear witness to its past lives: a few broken or frayed strands, and some ingrained dust despite an initial thorough cleaning (it can certainly be rinsed under running water and brushed more deeply, but gently). It measures approximately 29 cm in diameter at the top, 16 cm in diameter at the base, and 10 cm in height.
