Vintage French style vanity stool

This is a mahogany and burgundy velvet vanity stool, probably dating from the late 20th century. It is covered in luxurious burgundy velvet and features a mid-gloss black satin wood finish with gold embellishments. The look and feel of the fabric have recently been restored, and the rest of the piece has aged very well with time and use. The foam of the seat also appears to have been recently refurbished, and the seat has a total depth of 15 cm, including the cushion. The legs and body have a simple yet striking black finish, and the contrasting gold trim beautifully frames the seat. As with all items of this age, there are slight marks, although most details have been enhanced through renovation. It also comes with fire-resistant labels. Overall, it is a very striking piece that would look great on a dark wood under-sink unit in the same way or even on a simple piano stool.
