Easy chair 'model 2254' by Borge Mogensen for Fredericia, Denmark, 1950's

This sled chair 'model 2254' was designed by Borge Mogensen and produced by Fredericia in Denmark in the 1950's. The natural oak was combined with a wicker seat and backrest. The finger joint technique that was used on the armrests, the leather straps holding the pillows and the refined rattan are an example of Mogensen's eye for detail and craftsmanship. The seat can be put in 2 positions, more straight up or a more relaxed pose. Some damaged strings on the wicker seating and the fabric has some light staining, further in good condition as shown in the pictures.
