Formica and chrome-plated metal table

For those who appreciate the fresh, vibrant look of Formica, this table is wonderful: its pale green marbled finish will add a lovely vintage touch to your kitchen. It's very practical with its two integrated extensions under the tabletop, which you pull out when guests arrive, and its two bottomless drawers beneath the extensions (they move with the extensions, so they're always accessible). Each drawer is lined with a plastic "shape," one forming a single compartment, the other a four-compartment cutlery organizer (these can be removed for cleaning). I cleaned it carefully. This table must date from the 1960s. It's in good condition for its age; the tabletop is almost pristine, with only tiny scratches visible in raking light. The same goes for the extensions, with just a small white mark on one. The underside of the tabletop, made of real wood (not compressed wood chips), is sound and free of crumbling. The chrome-plated metal has very little pitting on the visible parts, and is almost intact on the legs. There is more significant pitting under the tabletop, so it's not visible. The black plastic trim that covers all Formica tables is in fairly good condition, with just one area of abrasion on one side (see photo), and the Formica has slightly swollen at the corners and therefore protrudes a little beyond the trim. However, this is the case on almost all Formica tables, and it's still perfectly acceptable; the tabletop isn't warped. The drawer bottoms (plastic trays) have some stains that I haven't been able to remove, and the single-compartment base has a hole in the bottom. The wood has a few inactive woodworm holes, but I treated them anyway, just to be on the safe side, by injecting white vinegar with a syringe—it's my natural method for replacing chemical insecticides. This table measures 69 cm wide and 76 cm high. It measures 103.5 cm in length and 162 cm with extensions.
