Signed at the bottom right "R de Olinda" René Pierre Louis de Olinda was born in 1893 in Algiers. He exhibited for the first time in Paris in 1927 at the exhibition of independent artists. His work mainly focuses on Paris and Montmartre as well as marine scenes. Our painting is rooted in the tradition of the pointillist school, when the artist was at his peak in 1921, a year before his participation in the Salon des Indépendants. We do not know the date of his death.
