Rare in this shade, an elegant set of 4 fine earthenware dinner plates from the famous Sarreguemines – U&C manufacturer, stamped Royat. Their sepia transfer decoration, with delicate lotus flowers and stylized foliage, evokes the refinement of Art Nouveau with its fluid lines and arabesques. Each plate has a beautiful patina of time (regular glaze cracks), testifying to their authenticity and age. An irresistible charm to set a table full of character or to enrich a collection of antique earthenware. Diameter 20.5 cm. Stamped Sarreguemines U&C + intaglio marking 5 28Z: U&C Sarreguemines (Utzschneider & Cie), these pieces come from the factory founded in 1800 by Paul Utzschneider, renowned in the 19th century for the quality of its fine earthenware and refined decorations. Very good overall condition, some traces of use and patina, without cracks or restoration. A piece of French culinary heritage, between tableware and collector's item.
