Richard Sapper kettle for Alessi

The 9091 kettle by richard sapper was alessi's first designer kettle and heralded a new era of kettles in 1983 - not only for alessi, but also for many other kettle manufacturers. It is suitable for electric cookers, gas cookers and induction cookers. The real centerpiece of the kettle is the brass whistle whose tubes create two-voiced sounds - mi and si - and allow a harmonious melody to be retained as soon as the water vapor is blown. In designing this kettle for alessi, richard sapper wanted to do away with the unpleasant hissing sound of conventional kettles. The result of this musical challenge was the 9091 kettle which is interpreted as the first multi-sensory design. Materials: kettle in 18/10 stainless steel, melodic whistle in brass and handle in pa finishes: black handle, brass and stainless steel dimensions diam. 16.5 X h 19 cm capacity 200cl the kettle that I am offering is one of the first copies produced. It is therefore not new and is patinated by time.
