Broadstairs Studio Pottery Stoneware Vase

Large vase made in the broadstairs workshops in kent england. Founded by david white in 1968, they closed in 1983. david white first started thanet pottery with his sister mary in 1961 (based in westwood, kent). despite its success the business was forced to close in 1967. the piece for sale was designed in the mid 1970s. the design is easily recognisable by its very tactile design even visually. the stoneware vase has a terracotta base decorated with scarified motifs. very good condition. unique piece. stamped on the base. dimensions: height 31 cm, neck diameter 12.5 cm, base diameter 15 cm. weight without packaging 2.9 kg. recycled packaging.
