Very beautiful Napoleon III style mirror (19th century) with ideal proportions (106 cm X 69 cm), easy to integrate into all contemporary or classic interiors. The wooden and stucco frame is richly decorated with a double frieze of beads and relief motifs of ovals. It is crowned by an elegant sculpted pediment featuring a central coat of arms flanked by laurel branches. The back retains its original parquet flooring made of horizontal wooden planks, which still bears old period inscriptions written in pencil. The gilding displays a soft matte patina. Ideal above a chest of drawers, in an entrance hall or a characterful bathroom. Condition: Generally good condition. Charming signs of use.
