Venini MAGI Vase by Rodolfo Dordoni

This is a fantastic piece of murano glass. This vase was made in italy by venini on the murano island in venice. It is signed venini 2000 (the year of manufacture) on the underside - see pics. It also has the manufacturer's sticker label on the neck as shown and it read venini - murano - made in italy. This model was designed by rodolfo dordoni and it is part of a series called magi. It stand approximately 37.5cm (15 inches) tall and 14 cm (5 1/2" ) at the widest point. The opening is approximately 9 cm (3 1/2"). The vase was made using "incamiciato" technique and I can see four distinct layered colors. A slighly brown gold layer. Followed by a white opaline layer and a deep blue layers which is topped of with a transparent blue layer. Furthermore the oter is split in two even halves. One is frosted/satinated and the other is battuto/inciso. It weighs 2kg and 182 grams(4 lbs and 13 oz). Condition is free of chips, cracks or repairs with some hard to spot surface scuffs.
