Round Cocoon wall lamp by Goldkant Leuchten, Germany, 1960's

This wall lamp was designed and produced by goldkant leuchten in germany during the 1960’s. It features an internal black steel structure with four light sockets and is covered with sprayed resin cover forming a leatherette-like, silky skin which provides a beautiful, soft light effect. This stunning piece has similarities to the work of achille castiglioni but the geometric pattern shining through on the sides make this lamp stand out. There’s a disk in teak wood in the middle and a detail in oxydated brass. The resin however is in a very good condition. It can be installed with a cable coming from the wall, the ceiling or just plugged into a socket.
