We offer this magnificent pair of French earthenware vases, a true testament to the Art Deco style of the mid-20th century. Made in Savoie around 1940, these vases are distinguished by their vibrant and bold polychrome decoration. Each vase features a stylized geometric pattern, with an intense and well-preserved color palette, including shades of cobalt blue, rust red, mustard yellow, and emerald green. The contrast of the colors against the light earthenware background creates a striking and dynamic visual effect. The shape of the vases is elegant and balanced, with a wide base that tapers towards the neck and ends in an opening. The glossy, smooth-to-the-touch finish is a testament to the high quality of the craftsmanship of the period. Both vases are in excellent condition; one has a small chip at the base (see photo). Dimensions: 17 cm wide X 23 cm high X 14 cm deep. As these items are vintage, they may show signs of aging. The photographs are an integral part of the description and condition.
