Pair of bowls/candle holders Just Andersen in metal Disko, Danish Grace

A decorative and rare pair of candlesticks / footed bowls by Just Andersen, Danish Grace 1920s/30s. Turn them over; one side serves as a candlestick for candles, while the other is perfect as a bowl. The pair is made of Disko Metal. Mark: JUST in a triangle, Model number 1834. Denmark. In good condition, with minor signs of age and wear. A few minimal dents. About the artist: Just Andersen was born in Greenland in 1884. He was a renowned sculptor and silversmith, best known for his bronze works and his own invention, called Disko, named after the bay where he grew up in Greenland. Disko metal is an alloy composed of tin, lead, and antimony. He is particularly appreciated for his clean lines, timeless and sculptural forms. He founded his own workshop in 1918 but also worked for GAB in Sweden and Georg Jensen in Denmark. He passed away in Denmark in 1943.
