Table lamp by ceramicist Jacques Blin

Height – 48 cm Diameter – 16 cm Very good condition, a tiny chip underneath, the lamp works perfectly, the original lampshade which was a little damaged has been covered with wool which can be removed if you prefer the original. Jacques Blin is a French ceramist from the mid-20th century, self-taught, particularly known for his sgraffito technique which consists of engraving patterns by hand directly into the engobe before firing. These patterns, often naive, represent plants, animals and imaginary creatures on a velvety background, most often in green and blue tones, which bring mystery and poetry to each piece. This model is a beautiful example, a unique and exceptional piece.
