Old Alsatian sandstone jar - 26 cm

Hello, here is an old jar, dating from 1930. Salt was applied to the pottery before firing in order to obtain the desired pattern in this very pretty shade of cobalt blue typical of the potteries of betschdorf, in alsace. In a good state of conservation, please note a superficial crack on the base, more visible in the latest photographs than in real life. Thank you for your visit.
