Charming little candle holder with a glazed ceramic cup decorated with beautiful patterns (beige, black and blue) on a chocolate and black background. These patterns are typical of Trojan ceramics, sometimes written Troyen or Troyan, a region of the Balkans (Bulgaria today). Each artist had his own pattern which served as a signature. This candle holder probably dates from the 60s or 70s (paper label underneath which doesn't look very young!) but the production of this type of ceramic, considered as the true Bulgarian ceramic, continues today. Today, the pieces produced are often more vividly colored, but always with these very beautiful patterns. These ceramics, often utilitarian (culinary in particular), not only decorative, are still used in most families. This candle holder does not have a crack, but a small chip on the top edge. It measures 7 cm in diameter at the base and 10.5 cm in height, the candle holder forms a slight funnel, for candles between 2 cm and 2.5 cm in diameter.
