A singular small rationalist side shelf, probably dating from the 1930s. With great architectural sobriety, it features a geometric construction composed of two vertical side panels joined by two horizontal shelves. The side supports extend above the top shelf and are pierced with rectangular handles with rounded corners. A small central vertical divider adds rhythm to the composition and enhances the graphic character of the whole. The piece showcases an elegant wood veneer, probably walnut, with contrasting grain patterns and warm golden hues. Through the simplicity of its volumes, the absence of ornamentation, and the clarity of its construction, this shelf fits within the aesthetic of modernist and rational furniture from the interwar period. In generally good condition, with signs of use and age, including some scratches, marks, and minor wear on the edges and surfaces. See detail photographs.
