Overview: Elegant Parisian Art Deco dining set from circa 1930. Comprises an extendable Macassar ebony-veneered table and ten matching chairs (set of 11). Materials & Finish: Table veneered in Macassar ebony with a high-gloss lacquered finish. Underwood and pull-out mechanism in solid mahogany; feet finished with original brass cylinders. Chairs in stained beech to match the Macassar tone, upholstered in cream-white Alcantara. Table Details: Architecturally substantial double-trestle base with low horizontal stretcher, typical of Art Deco geometry. Extendable design with inset tops made in matching Macassar veneer; solid mahogany mechanics ensure smooth operation. Chairs: Ten Art Deco dining chairs: gently curved top rails and vertical-back composition. Six chairs original to the table; four later pieces reproduced to match the originals exactly. Comfortable seating with keder-trimmed Alcantara upholstery. Designer & Origin: Attributed to Georges & Gaston Guérin, France, c.1930. Strong period character with refined decorative brass details and contrasting dark veneer with pale upholstery.
