Norwegian armchair 'Siesta' designed by Ingmar Relling, 1970s

Norwegian lounge chair with armrests and headrest called 'Siesta'. This was designed in 1965 by Ingmar Relling and became an instant success. The design rightly received (inter)national awards. This sofa has a black stained wooden frame and the high-quality supple leather is in an olive green color. The seat is in beautiful vintage condition. There is only a slight discoloration on the pillow, but this is not really noticeable and is therefore certainly not disturbing (see photos). The original manufacturer's label is still present at the bottom. The Siesta chair played an important role in the growth of the Norwegian furniture industry and its international success. The seat can rightly be declared a true international Norwegian icon.
