Superb glass vase signed Leune, Parisian house active in the 1920s-1930s, decorated by Auguste HEILIGENSTEIN (1891 - 1976) Description of the vase. ■ Elegant slender shape with a straight neck, slightly flared towards the base. ■ The decoration, characteristic of Leune productions, is made of polychrome enamel enhanced with a black ring highlighting the contours. We can see bunches of purple/bluish wisteria, surrounded by leaves in green and blue tones, arranged in a natural movement over the entire height of the piece. The enamel work, in slight relief, brings texture and luminosity. ■ The top of the neck has a warm orange tint contrasting with the opaline white satin body. Style and period. ■ This type of stylized floral decoration perfectly illustrates the Art Deco period 1920-1930 between naturalism and stylization. ■ The Leune glassworks, active in Paris from 1861 to 1930, specialized in glassware decorated with colored enamel, in the spirit of the Daum, Muller Frères or Schneider workshops, but with a more pictorial and often floral identity. ■ Signature "Leune" enameled on the body. ■ In very good condition. Dimensions: Height 50 cm. Central diameter: 22 cm. Neck diameter: 7 cm.
