Vintage Pair Marinha Grande Swirl Art Glass Wall Sconces Made in Portugal. Crafted in the 1990s in Marinha Grande, Portugal—a historic city globally renowned for its centuries-old glassblowing heritage—these uplighter fixtures feature a striking bell shaped profile. The shades are meticulously blown with an elegant creamy amber and fudge-ripple swirl pattern that beautifully mimics the organic look of natural alabaster. When lit, the marbled texture diffuses a soft, warm ambient glow, while the open-top design casts beautiful light patterns up your wall. They are anchored by white metal backplates and finished with timeless antiqued bronze effect metal fittings that hold the glass in position.The sconces are wired with Twin core wiring and take 1 small screw in E14 bulbs each. Good vintage condition. The art glass shades are entirely free of chips, cracks, with just some minor nibbles at the edges. The bronze-effect metal mounts show minimal, authentic age-related patina with no rust or deep scratching. The white metal backplates do have somepaint scuffs on the back which cannot be seen when in position.
