Pair of marjolein Bastin candlestick holders from the "libelle" series, j & g meakin, Wedgwood group

A lovely pair of candlesticks featuring a beautiful design by well-known dutch illustrator marjolein bastin. The design depicts different fruit, from cranberries to blueberries, blackberries and strawberries. It is part of a series of drawings that bastin originally made for the dutch magazine "libelle" in the 1980s. The designs were then used by the british pottery firm j & g meakin, a member of the wedgwood group, to decorate a line of tableware. The candlesticks are in perfect condition. They have no chips, cracks or even signs of wear.
