This pendant lamp was manufactured by the renowned Danish lighting manufacturer LYFA during the 1970s. The design represents the characteristic qualities of Scandinavian lighting from this period, combining a clean geometric form with a functional system for directing and diffusing light. The lamp is crafted from aluminium with a gold-toned brushed finish, giving it an elegant brass-like appearance. The large hemispherical shade is complemented by a smaller internal reflector, which conceals the light source and reduces direct glare. The interior of the shade is finished in white, allowing the light to be effectively reflected and evenly distributed. Distinctive features of the design also include a small upper reflector and a cylindrical cable cover. The layered construction gives the lamp an interesting modernist form, making it equally attractive when illuminated or simply as a decorative element within an interior. With a diameter of 42 cm, the lamp is well suited as a main light above a dining table, in a living room, or in a commercial interior furnished in a Mid-Century Modern style. The lamp retains its original LYFA maker’s label, confirming the manufacturer. It is preserved in good vintage condition, with light signs of use and minor age-related scratches visible on the surface of the shade. The wiring has been replaced with new wiring, and the lamp has been checked by an electrician, ensuring that it is fully functional and ready for use.
