Vintage walnut commode with tapered legs circa 1950s

Vintage mid-century chest of drawers, circa 1950s. The piece is made of wood with a rich, vibrant warm walnut veneer finish. Resting on four tapered legs, it features four bevelled drawers, perfectly functional, with their original eight chrome handles. The drawers are clean, with slight signs of use. Dimensions: W: 86 cm x D: 36.5 cm x H: 11.5 cm. The chest has been partially restored. The top has been redone. Some veneer repairs have been made to the front and back edges of the side panels (see photos). A small repair has also been made to the back of the piece, which is invisible when placed against a wall (see photo). The piece is in good overall condition, original and vintage. It shows some marks, signs of wear and use, as well as a patina of time on the structure, the top (see photos with a 1-cent coin for perspective), the front, the drawers, the edges, the side and back panels, and the legs (see photos). All photos were taken outdoors in natural light. Colours may therefore vary depending on brightness, reflections from stone walls, angle, and perspective. H: 86.5 cm D: 48.5 cm W: 94.5 cm.
