Pair of Louis XVI-style cabriolet armchairs – 18th century

Elegant pair of Louis XVI cabriolet armchairs, dating from the late 18th century, in carved wood. A very beautiful pair with a superb patina and some traces of their original paint. The armchairs feature a rectangular backrest framed by simple, moulded uprights. The armrests, upholstered with arm caps, rest on baluster supports with exquisite turning. The slightly curved front rail rests on tapered legs. The connecting blocks are adorned with carved rosettes, while the front uprights display a decoration of fluting. The rear legs are also fluted. Both armchairs are upholstered in green Genoa velvet, highlighted with a braid. The upholstery is of exceptional quality and in very good condition. In perfect condition and with very beautiful quality of woodwork.
