Superb three-armed gilt bronze lamp dating from the first half of the 20th century. This light fixture has, at first glance, a crazy charm. Due to its well-controlled proportions on the one hand but also thanks to its beautiful gilt bronze lion heads which fit in the mouth, a small gilded chain also which goes around the light fixture passing from one lion's mouth to the other. All crowned with a beautiful gilded pine cone. Each of the fluted arms describes a pretty flowery curve and ends at a new base with two new lion heads which share a small chain there again. The work on the metal, more marbled, is very pretty. Finally, a sculpted glass globe encloses the socket bulb. The fluted shaft and interspersed with a beautiful thick marbled ring, descends to the tripod base very richly decorated with acanthus leaf patterns. The electricity is modern and works perfectly with its (original) pressure switch. When lit, it gives off a beautiful, soft, warm light. Complete in excellent condition. H: 161 cm. Diameter at the light arms: 44 cm.
