Gilbert méténier's rose and brown flaming sandstone pitcher with metallic reflections in the shape of a pumpkin (1876-?), a production dated between 1917 and 1939. This sandstone factory was founded in gannat by ceramicist louis méténier (1844-1922), joined by his son gilbert around 1910. A few years later, the latter transformed the production of the factory into artistic production: the sandstones of art méténier. The mussels and dies were reportedly destroyed in 1940 by gilbert méténier himself. This pitcher, in perfect condition, is signed under the base "g méténier" and bears the inscription "roc-amadour". This last inscription indicates that they may be a sample used by the factory representatives.
