Entry set by Pierre Guariche, Negroni, circa 1968
Entrance set designed by Pierre Guariche in the late 1960s as part of his furnishings for mountain station apartments. Designed as a compact wall-mounted unit, the set includes a shelf with a catch-all, a coat rack with four hooks, a stool, and a wall light with two adjustable spots. The dark wood, plywood, and white laminate create a unity among the different elements and reflect the materials used by Guariche in the rest of the furnishings. Designed to occupy minimal space, the set concentrates the essential functions of an entrance in a single composition: to place everyday small items, hang clothes, and provide lighting. Provenance: apartment in the La Mongie - Tourmalet station, furnished by Pierre Guariche. Edition: Negroni, circa 1968. Bibliography: Delphine Jacob, Lionel Blaisse, Pierre Guariche, Éditions Norma, pp. 200-219.
