Rare Romeo Rega Murano glass and brass lamp, Italy 1980s

This elegant and sculptural table lamp was designed by Romeo Rega and manufactured in Italy during the 1980s by F. Fabbian Illuminazione. This striking design combines luxurious materials and refined craftsmanship, characteristic of Hollywood Regency style, and Italian lighting from the late modernist period. The lamp is 70 cm high and 45 cm wide. The lamp features two illuminated Murano glass elements: a mushroom-shaped shade and a cylindrical tubular base. Both components are crafted from textured Murano glass displaying a distinctive ribbed pattern that beautifully diffuses light and enhances the lamp’s sculptural presence. The brass elements form a cohesive and elegant framework throughout the lamp’s design. A circular brass base supports the glass tube, while matching brass details connect and accent the upper section and shade. The shade is finished with a brass rim and a brass cap engraved with the designer’s signature and the inscription "Romeo Rega Made in Italy.” Its unique shape and sophisticated interplay of materials make the lamp both a functional object and a decorative statement in every contemporary space. The piece is in great original condition, with very light signs of age consistent with time and use.
