Former hamilton printing locker

Back from flea market, I reported... A hamilton printing locker. It is a drawer, made of wood from a cabinet used in traditional typography. Stacked on top of each other, these shallow drawers were divided into small boxes, the cassetins, in which the printing workers stored the lead or wooden characters necessary for the composition of a text before its printing. Today, they are beautiful decorative elements, memories of the crafts and techniques of yesteryear. They are often sought after to exhibit small collections (beans, shells, precious stones, coins, etc.). Size: Length: 65 cm. Width: 45 cm. Height: 4 cm.
